The SD40 DFL party unit will hold an online discussion on Zoom about caucuses for anyone who has never attended a DFL caucus, wants a refresher, or wants to learn more about how caucuses operate.
This online training will take place SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 1, from 1-3 pm. Please register for the training by completing this quick registration form:

Please join the call if you want more information, and send this page to your neighbors and friends who are interested in attending.
Can’t make it? The State DFL has a 5-minute “What to Expect at Caucuses” video on YouTube that covers the fundamentals.
When you go to precinct caucuses on the evening of Feb 3, you will be able to vote your preference for Governor, introduce or comment on and discuss resolutions that relate to important issues, and sign on to be a delegate in later conventions.
The State DFL Convention this year will be considering the endorsements for US Senate as well as Governor. In between will be your local Senate District convention (on February 21) and a Congressional District convention (date TBA) where endorsements will be made for your representatives. You can go to caucus and participate meaningfully without being elected a delegate (to the conventions).
The DFL caucus organizers will make you comfortable and guide you through the process on caucus night. No special training is needed. Just show up and be prepared to meet up with neighbors and friends.
The State DFL has done translations of the caucus rules and agenda into SOMALI, ARABIC, SPANISH, HMONG, OROMO, and VIETNAMESE to help you understand what is happening. Click the link below to be taken to the PDF file.
